REGISTRATION FEE: $500/person (includes breakfast, lunch, and parking each day)
EVENT OVERVIEW:
The 2024 OELAS Conference is sponsored by the Office of English Language Acquisition Services (OELAS) program area of the Arizona Department of Education. This year’s conference will be held December 10-12 at the Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel and Spa in Glendale, Arizona.
This conference will provide meaningful professional development opportunities for K-12 educators of English learners (ELs); designed to help meet the unique aspects of the Structured English Immersion Models. There will also be sessions geared toward administrators, instructional coaches, school leaders, as well as district-level and charter-level leaders. Sessions will be presented by both national and local experts and participants will gain information and skills that can be put to practical use right away.
Registration Notes:
- Registration for this event must be completed in the ADE Professional Learning and Development (APLD) system. Participants must have an ADEConnect account to complete the registration. Registration closes when full. The team at OELAS (Office of English Language Acquisition Services) will not manually register participants.
- The participant is responsible for ensuring he/she is registered and has paid for this event.
- Please verify an accurate email address when registering. Emails are used to communicate conference information and give credit / certificates through the APLD system.
Payment Information:
- Acceptable methods of payment are purchase order (PO), check, or credit card. If paying with a PO or check, an electronic copy is required during the registration process. If paying with a credit card, Visa or Mastercard are accepted. American Express is not accepted.
- Please note that sending a PO directly to the Arizona Department of Education does not constitute a completed registration for this event.

- Purchase Order (PO) - A valid PO is required. The following criteria should be noted on the PO; Requisitions are not allowed.

- Signature of Approval
- Registration must match PO detail.
- If anything is missing, ADE Accounting will reject the registration and the participant will need to re-register for the event.
- Invoices will be provided upon approved PO submission.
Immediately after registering, you will receive an email stating that your registration is "PENDING" verification of the purchase order or check. ADE will complete the verification process within 10 days. Once the verification process is complete, you will receive another email stating that your registration is "CONFIRMED." The confirmation email secures your spot for the event.
Dietary Requirements:
If you have any dietary needs, please be sure to update your APLD account page under "Edit Account" with the appropriate information. Breakfast (with protein), lunch, and snacks are provided on all three days of the conference.
