Calling all arts educators to highlight innovative ways performing arts, visual arts & interdisciplinary classrooms are engaging every student, every day, with every opportunity at the 2023 ESSA Conference January 25-27. The Virtual Student Showcase is an exciting opportunity for students, teachers, and schools to share the amazing and incredible arts learning experiences that are occuring within Arizona classrooms.
Student submissions due December 10th by 11:59pm. Selected participants notified December 15th by 5pm.
Performing Arts and Visual Arts Student Submission Form-
Arizona Opera's Education Teaching Artist, Dr. Miriam Schildkret, PN1, is ready to join your class in-person or virtually to provide a masterclass on the topic of your choice!
Masterclass topics include: vocal technique, opera history, career development, performance anxiety, mental/physical health relating to performers, and individual or group coaching for classical singers, and musical theatre. Available for ALL cities in Arizona (in-person only available in the Phoenix metro area).
Grade Level: Recommended 6th - 12th grade
Time: Classes can be scheduled 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Masterclasses are 45 - 60 minutes in length
Cities: Available to ALL cities in the state of Arizona (in-person masterclasses are only available in the Phoenix metro area)

The Council for Art Education administers Youth Art Month (YAM) at the national level to showcase the positive impact and association between art teachers and students. YAM promotes visual art education for all K - 12 students and encourages funding for quality school art programs.
