Davis-Monthan Air Force Base is named after two Lieutenants, Samuel H. Davis, Jr. and Oscar Monthan. Both WWI-era pilots died in separate military aircraft accidents. The base was originally established as a B-24 Liberator and later a B-29 Superfortress during WWII. Since then, Davis-Monthan AFB has been home to various wing commands and oversees one of the largest aircraft storage facilities.
Depending on the military branch, a school liaison officer or school liaison program manager can assist with transition support, including school selection, credit transfer, and other education-related issues for students attending a K-12 school in Arizona.
