Outstanding Educator Group
Arizona Department of Education's Outstanding Educators Group recommendation window is open!
The Arizona Department of Education invites school leaders – superintendents, LEA central office leaders, and principals - to submit exceptional educators for inclusion in ADE's Outstanding Educators Group. As part of ongoing retention efforts, ADE seeks to recognize educators with at least five years of experience in the classroom who exhibit strong potential for professional leadership and an inspiring presence that impacts students, colleagues, and community. The ideal candidates for this group will be classroom leaders who have made a large impact on their school and students' outcomes, but who have not previously received recognition or awards in their teaching careers. The department is accepting recommendations for classroom teachers, principals, and specialists that currently work in just one school and have distinguished themselves above and beyond.
If selected to be a part of the Outstanding Educators Group, educators will be called on at various times in the coming school year to share their stories and perspectives and help inform the work of the Arizona Department of Education. Please support this effort by spreading the word and encouraging school system leaders* to submit recommendations for the excellent educators they know.
Recommendations may be submitted via the Outstanding Educators Group Recommendation Form.
*Submissions only accepted from superintendents, LEA leadership, or principals. Teachers may not submit recommendations.
