Statement of Website Accessibility
February 2025
The Arizona Department of Education (ADE) is committed to providing equal access and participation for all people, including the ability to access and process information provided via the Internet (or web). ADE is bound by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and measured against WCAG 2.2
To improve the accessibility of the www.azed.gov website, the Arizona Department of Education uses the content management system Drupal, to complete a visual language redesign of the UI (User Interface) that includes Section 508 accessibility compliance. During our website design and content creation process, our web developers, webmaster, and content editors validate each page to ensure compliance with Section 508/ADA conformance minimum WCAG 2.2 A/AA to the extent or degree that the existing ASET Drupal7 CMS components comply.
ADE works with the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) to continue to identify, improve, and resolve accessibility issues. ADE uses Monsido to run monthly accessibility checks of our existing web content. Our agency brand standards have also been updated to include accessibility considerations in web and print products.
