Pupil Withdrawals
Accountability oversees the use of pupil withdrawals, including official withdrawal codes and the monitoring of schools/districts for correct documentation of these exit codes. Withdrawal codes directly impact State and Federal Accountability, due to the fact they are used in calculating Graduation, Dropout, and Persistence Rates. They are also vital to conducting research studies, including COVID-19 impact on student mobility. Therefore, best practices when using these codes are necessary in order to ensure data is accurate. This page was created as a resource for schools and districts across the state to have one convenient place to find all documents regarding pupil withdrawals, as well as provide guidance and training in using withdrawal codes.
Any questions regarding pupil withdrawals and exit codes can be sent to [email protected]. For information on enrollment, membership, and entry codes, please contact School Finance at [email protected].
